Where Is the Best Place to Buy Equipment?
OBYBSA has a league partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Dick’s provides a 20% discount during one of the weekends leading up to the Spring and Fall seasons.
This allows parents to wait and buy everything at once while receiving a discount immediately before the season begins.
Can Four Year Olds Play?
Yes, as long as they turn 5 before May 1 of the upcoming year.
Should Six-Year-Olds Move Up to Machine Pitch?
It depends. If they have played T-Ball for two seasons, then yes. If they played one season and hit well and can throw and catch, then yes. If this is their first time, they can start in T-Ball and move up to Machine Pitch if needed.

What Nights Are Practices?
It depends on the coach.
During the Fall season, T-Ball practices are typically Monday through Wednesday.
During the Spring season, practices are typically Monday through Thursday.
You can request specific days or days off when you register.

When Are Games?
Spring Season: Saturday mornings
Fall Season: Thursday evenings and some Saturday mornings
Do You Keep Score in T-Ball?
No. Innings consist of all players batting, then teams switch sides.
Do You Need 9 Players on a Team?
No. Most batted balls are in the infield. Seven or eight players is often ideal because kids get more at-bats and more opportunities to field the ball.

OBYBSA depends on parent volunteers and community support.
Do You Need Parent Volunteer Coaches?
Yes. Please volunteer when you register your child.
Volunteer coaches help make the T-Ball experience positive, organized, and fun for every player.
Do You Need Sponsors?
Yes. OBYBSA needs jersey sponsors and banner sponsors.
Community sponsorships help keep registration costs lower for parents and families.
